Song Requests
Allow your audience to request songs from your repertoire.
If you enable Song Requests in your gig configuration, a "Requests" tab will appear on the audience page. This is the primary way for your audience to interact with your song list.
Request a Song
The main part of this tab is the "Request a Song" card, which contains a searchable list of songs from the songbook you assigned to the gig.
- Browsing & Searching: Users can scroll through the list or use the search bar to find a specific song or artist. The list can also be sorted by song title or artist.
- Making a Request: By clicking the "Request" button, a user adds their "vote" for that song. The button will change to "Requested" to indicate their request has been logged and to prevent duplicate requests from the same person.
- Paid Requests: If you've enabled the "Require payment to request a song" option in your gig settings, the button will show the price. Clicking it will take the user through a secure payment process powered by Stripe. The request is only submitted after a successful payment.
Requested Songs List
If you've checked "Allow users to see requested songs list" in the gig configuration, a "Requested Songs" card will also appear. This creates a social, interactive experience for the audience.
- Real-time Popularity: This list shows all the songs that have been requested so far, sorted by the number of requests (votes). This gives everyone a live look at what songs are trending with the crowd.
- Encouraging Engagement: Seeing what's popular can encourage other audience members to request the same songs, giving you a clear idea of what the crowd wants to hear most. As an admin, this gives you valuable, real-time feedback.
